The Journey of Life.

Like the vagabond Banjaran breeze,
I was flowing through the dense forest trees.
The evening sun set to twilight,
The village dames, the lamps. they were to light.

Then, I heard the melodious music pervading the space:
A young lady sitting alone near the river bank in peace,
Was reciting the songs of love like Radha,
May be calling her beloved Krishna !

Seeing me, she stopped singing and asked me,
"May I come with you?"
"I'm going long way to the shrine on the mountain,
Here, you may have your family to look after."

"My people are near the shrine
I'll accompany you."
Saying so, she started walking ahead of me,
What a dilemma ?

It was a long journey stretching curved miles
Rough weather, merciless injuring path.
During the climb, she slipped,
I stretched my hand, she held with smile.

She stumbled on stones, held her
Tired she fell, lifted her and fed,
Wounds on her soft feet, rested and treated her
Her body was shivering in cold, gave my blanket.

After two days, when we reached the shrine,
She was found exhausted and could not walk further.
I carried her and made her sleep in a corner,
and went to fetch some water.

When I returned,  found her nowhere!
With heavy heart,  closed my eyes.
When I opened my eyes,
She was standing there with smile.

May be the smile is her language,
Neat and clean she stood there like an angel !
She was very familiar and respectful in the shrine;
"Thank you, you brought me back to my home with care"

Her hospitality, after sojourn in the shrine for few days,
It was time for me to depart.
"please take care, I'll always be with you,"
She disappeared; parting tears in her eyes?!
